Imagine a world where the referee blows his whistle, your team just scored, and you know the rules. You are ready to jump into the game and start giving it your all to make that winning play. We’re not talking about the act of playing football, we’re talking about what it means to be a spectator of America’s favorite pastime: pixel 3xl football wallpaper.

Football dos are:

1. Play the game.

It’s a game. If you’re not having fun, then why are you out there? If you have a football in your possession, play it. If you don’t want to play, don’t. If you have a football in your possession, play it. Don’t just let it sit on the field and do nothing for you, and definitely don’t throw it down to take a nap in the middle of play.

2. Respect the referee.

Yes, they may be your friend. But they are someone’s dad/brother/uncle/husband/wife. There is more to this game than who can make cuts and who can really tackle. He is there to make sure that everyone plays by rules, but he is also there to keep people from hurting each other or themselves while playing football (this also goes for games of ice hockey).

3. Follow the rules.

Even if you don’t agree with them, it is best to follow the rules to the letter. The rules are there for a reason and if you don’t follow them, there will be consequences such as getting kicked out or losing the game.

4. Eat healthy food at half time.

There are tons of great foods to eat while watching football, but if you’re not prepared, eating healthy during half time can be a challenge. It’s best to bring your own snacks like nuts, trail mix, peanuts and fruit. This will not only keep you full for the second half, but give you extra energy to play harder and make that winning play at the end of the game! For example, a great choice of food is an orange or some grapes!

5. Respect others on your team and opponents.

This one is pretty self explanatory. Be kind to each other. This will keep the game flowing and help you win more games. It also shows that you’re a good person and that your team wants to win, which will lead them to victory!

6. Stay hydrated.

This one sounds obvious, but people often forget. If you’re going to be out there sweating for half the game, make sure that you’re drinking water in an effort to keep your energy levels up. Staying hydrated with water, Gatorade or even sodas at half time will keep you healthy and help get rid of all the extra energy you have! Drinking water is a must because it’s recommended to drink around 4 – 8 glasses during the football game, depending on what it is that they play.

Football don’ts are:

1. Cheating.

This is a big no-no. Never cheat when you are playing sports because it hurts the other team and yourself. Some people might get discouraged and want to play at all if they can’t win with pure skill. Cheating will get you kicked out of the game and keep you from winning against your old rival! Try to avoid it all together.

2. Respecting another player’s individuality.

Your individuality is what makes you a person. Respect others during the game and they will respect you, leading to greatly increased chances of winning! Players like to play their own way and this is set by the players themselves, but in a competitive game like football, no one wants to give up their job! Respect that!

3. Fighting.

Fighting is a big no! If two players are stepping on the same line, it’s an automatic penalty and the other team will get possession of the ball. If there is already a penalty on the field, then both teams have a chance to take it, so keep calm and follow the rules!

4. Throwing in the towel.

This happens when one player just says they are giving up and throws down their helmet or helmet-like object. No one wants to see that, and it won’t do you any good. If you don’t like the game, then leave!

5. Getting hurt.

This is probably the most important rule of them all, because without a team and players, there is no game! Make sure to protect yourself by wearing equipment and support gear for your body parts that might get easily injured when playing football. Also, staying hydrated can minimize the damage done to your body if there are injuries.

Summary:

These rules are just a few things that are important to keep in mind before, during and after a game of football. Playing football is a big responsibility in that you have to respect yourself, your team and your opponents. How can you watch the football season this year and enjoy it? Playing the game is number one! Follow the dos and don’ts, and you’ll be sure to have a great time at home.
