The Leicester City transfer news this week was the best transfer news that anyone could have hoped for. Jose Antonio Reyes of Stoke and Harry Redknapp of Newcastle were both linked very rapidly with moves to Leicester.

Both are excellent fit for the Premier League. Stoke City are a club in desperate need of a new stadium and Newcastle United are a club desperate to make a change. Stoke City’s stadium, The Spire, is a massive project. It’s massive in size but it’s also very expensive. Stoke City have already been linked with a massive new stadium and are asking for a £200m loan to build it. Newcastle United, meanwhile, are in dire need of a major transfer.

Newcastle United, like Stoke City, could do with a new stadium, and both of those clubs could use a big loan. The difference here though is that Newcastle United is a club in dire need of a major transfer, while Leicester City are desperate to make a move to a new stadium.

The difference is that Newcastle United are desperate to move, while Leicester City are desperate for a move.

Newcastle United’s problems began to surface last year when they finished 6th in the Championship, so it’s been a year or two since they’ve had a decent start. Newcastle have been struggling to get out of the bottom half of the table, but have managed to stay in the Premier League for two seasons now. They’re a more likely candidate to go out of survival than Leicester City, but their lack of a new stadium and the club’s history make that unlikely.

While Newcastle’s transfer business is more than likely to go well since they have a new stadium already, they are still expected to spend over £90 million in transfer fees to strengthen their squad and to acquire players who might be used elsewhere. Newcastle’s new coach has to spend some time convincing his players that they need to improve, but he has to be able to bring in players who will help him.

If Newcastle don’t sign a new striker, it will be their first choice for the striker job and they’ll have to pay a transfer fee for that. Since Newcastle can spend an eye-watering amount of money to bring in a new goalkeeper, they’ll have to look for a new right-back. With the likes of Alan Smith and Mark McCall on the market, Newcastle need a new right-back ASAP. They’re expected to spend £6.

Newcastle have signed another right-back who’s got a lot of work to do. We’d have to give him a decent chance to get a new right-back. I don’t know why it took them over the years to get him on the right side. It hasn’t been that simple. We’ve had to improve his side to meet his requirements, which doesn’t seem to be what his team want, and they need to make the right player to play for them.

Newcastle’s problems are far from being solved. The club is currently on top of their salary cap, but the squad is far from the ones that have been signed this summer. McCall is on £2million a week but he has only made three appearances in the league for the Canaries. Newcastle’s problems are deeper than that though, they don’t have the right structure to compete for trophies and are still chasing stars.

The fact is that the club are a serious team in the Premier League, and it’s not just the players. They’ve got a good team to play in the final minutes, and they have a good goalkeeper to play with, and a top-5 chance for a spot in the Champions League.
