In your head? It sounds better than it is. In your heart? Maybe not so much. These tricks have worked for decades, but they’ve only started to work in the past handful of years.

Don’t take your bad dreams and paranoia so seriously. We can see you as the most wonderful person in the room, but we also know you have demons in your past and you don’t have to go to them over and over. Blog Don’t be a bad dreamer. Instead, be a bad dreamer about it.

Why is it when we are depressed the bad dreams come up? So, how are we going to fight them? Here are a few proven techniques for getting what you want, and get rid of the bad dreams. Sit, Stay and Sleep. There is no such thing as a bad dream. So get out of the house, grab a nice book, and a nice bottle of wine or whatever else helps you forget what just went on in your head! Go on a walk.

When we see the negative side of a situation, it often means that something in us, our family, or our community is going to crumble. We are, by nature, a collective of individuals. So the more people we unite together and the longer we live together, the less chance of disaster. So, to the negative, we can be of great help.

It takes about 20 seconds for a bad dream to get worse if we tell our brains to believe the bad dream in question. The longer we see it, the more serious it begins to become. And when it gets really bad, we want to wake up. We want to call the police, run to the emergency room, do anything but sleep on the couch and drink whiskey. These nightmares make us feel awful, but they will not make us miserable.

No matter what you do, no matter how hard you work and no matter if you think of the words “just do it” or “stop dreaming” or “you’ll regret it later” when you wake up each morning and feel like you could cry for the rest of your life, remember this simple one. When you get out of bed, you have three choices: wake up, eat, or do nothing.
