I believe the first keyboard was invented with IBM by typing on a piece of equipment known as a typewriter. By this time a computer was developed by a company named CDC. This was a computer that could run BASIC, or a programming language. By typing, you were able to interact with this computer because it was a programming language. This allowed young men who were interested in programming, to get a job because most likely they would be needed at one point in time.

By using the keyboard, you were able to input certain commands (called commands) and you used a device named “mouse”. The mouse could control your entire body.
